BidEdgeHQ ("Company", "we", "our", "us") operates the website bidedgehq.com and related services (collectively, the "Service"). We are a government tender intelligence platform. For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at privacy@bidedgehq.com.
We collect: (a) Account data — name, email address, company name, and password when you register; (b) Profile data — your ICP preferences including industries, NAICS codes, jurisdictions, and contract value ranges; (c) Usage data — log files, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and feature usage patterns collected automatically; (d) Payment data — billing name and address only; full card details are processed directly by Stripe and never stored by us; (e) Communications — messages you send us via support or email.
We use your information to: provide and operate the Service; score government tenders against your ICP profile; send you transactional emails (account setup, alerts, billing receipts); send you product updates and marketing communications (you may opt out at any time); detect and prevent fraud or abuse; comply with legal obligations; and improve the Service through aggregated, anonymised analytics.
For users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are: (a) Contract performance — processing necessary to provide the Service you signed up for; (b) Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, security, and service improvement; (c) Consent — marketing communications and non-essential cookies (you may withdraw consent at any time); (d) Legal obligation — where processing is required by applicable law.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share data only with: (a) Service providers — Supabase (database hosting), Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Upstash (queue infrastructure), and Vercel (hosting). Each is contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes; (b) Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority; (c) Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your data is subject to a different privacy policy; (d) With your consent — any other sharing will be disclosed and require your explicit consent.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes (typically up to 7 years for billing records). Tender scoring data and alert logs are deleted within 90 days of account closure.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access a copy of your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to certain processing; data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format); and withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@bidedgehq.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We use strictly necessary cookies (required for authentication and security), functional cookies (your preferences and settings), and analytics cookies (aggregated usage data via privacy-respecting tools). We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, encryption at rest, Row Level Security (RLS) in our database, and access controls. BidEdgeHQ is operated from and data is primarily processed in the United States and Canada. If you are accessing the Service from outside these regions, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other lawful transfer mechanisms approved by relevant authorities.
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at privacy@bidedgehq.com and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on our website and, where required by law, by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
