Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter information each time you visit or navigate between pages.
We use the following categories of cookies: (a) Strictly Necessary — these are required for the platform to function. They include authentication session tokens set by Clerk, CSRF protection tokens, and security cookies. You cannot opt out of these without losing access to your account; (b) Functional — these remember your preferences such as dashboard layout, compact view settings, and timezone. They improve your experience but are not essential; (c) Analytics — we use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how users interact with BidEdgeHQ (pages visited, features used, session duration). This data is aggregated and anonymised. We do not use Google Analytics; (d) Cookie Consent — we store a cookie to remember your consent choice so we do not display the banner on every visit.
BidEdgeHQ does not use: advertising or retargeting cookies; third-party tracking pixels; social media tracking cookies; fingerprinting or cross-site tracking technologies. We do not share cookie data with advertisers or data brokers.
Some features of BidEdgeHQ involve third-party services that may set their own cookies: (a) Clerk (authentication) — sets a session cookie to keep you logged in. Clerk is SOC2 certified. See clerk.com/privacy; (b) Stripe (payments) — sets cookies during the checkout flow for fraud prevention and PCI compliance. See stripe.com/privacy; (c) Vercel (hosting) — may set performance cookies for edge routing optimisation. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy. We have no control over the content of third-party cookies and recommend reviewing their policies directly.
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period: authentication cookies persist for up to 30 days (or until you sign out); preference cookies persist for up to 12 months; consent cookies persist for up to 12 months. You can delete cookies at any time via your browser settings.
You have several options to control cookies: (a) Cookie banner — use our consent banner to accept or decline optional cookies when you first visit; (b) Browser settings — most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies. See the help documentation for your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge); (c) Opt-out tools — for analytics, you may use browser-level do-not-track settings. Note: disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the BidEdgeHQ dashboard.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. Material changes will be communicated via the cookie banner or email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
For questions about our use of cookies or this policy, contact us at privacy@bidedgehq.com. We respond within 5 business days.
